how can I prove that Iam mentally stable and fit so I can get custody of my son? who is 16, he does not want to live with his dad or stepmom because they are being mean to him like telling him daily they cant wait till hes 18 and gone and he just turned 16 and they told him that he needs to get a job now to pay rent in order to live in their house, what can I do, please help me

It depends on why you need to prove you are mentally stable and fit. In most cases the parents are presumed to be mentally stable until they show otherwise. Without knowing why this is an issue in your case it is impossible to make any recommendations.
