Legal Question in Family Law in California

public notice

I have filed for custody of my son in California (I live in Minnesota). My son's mother has a history of abandonment (now 4 months). Sheriff tried to serve her, but to no avail. How do we go about filing a Public Notice. We have a court date April 30.

Re: public notice

You do not need to do a public notice until the court tells you so. Get a report from the sheriff's department that they made several attempts to serve her.
