Legal Question in Family Law in California
putting baby up for adoption
I am 43 years old and have two boys ages 6 and 9, and 7 months pregnant. I have a warrant out for my arrest and plan on turning myself in because I am very tired of running with my children in tow. I more then anything would like to keep this child, but know I can't. I have given up one daughter for adoption 5 years ago and had a bad experience with the Attorney who handled the adoption. I need some advice and or a reputable adoption attorney or if anyone can think of a way I can keep this child (which I will have in Prison) please tell me. I'd like to turn myself into a frog and leap out of here, but I will turn myself into the sheriff department within the next two weeks. (this was typed by a friend).
Thank you,
P.S. I have a very good friend I have known for over 10 years who is married and has a family who are currently caring for my two boys and will be keeping them until I get out of prison.

Re: putting baby up for adoption
The length of time that you will be incarcerated is important. The longer you will be incarcerated the more difficult it will be to keep the baby. Your friend may be willing to keep the baby for you. However if you are gone for very long, it will be very hard on the baby to take her from your friend.
