Legal Question in Family Law in California

Qualified Domstic Relations Order

I have been trying to find out if a QDRO was filed with my divorce which was Sept 27,1990 in Los Angeles Superior Court and was said in my divorce that according to the Brown Formula I would be entitled to one half of the community interest in my ex husband's Musician's Union Pension. That fact was in my divorce and it says that iit would be filed after that judgement was filed. I need to get a copy of that QDro to send to New York for the pension fund to review. Where do I get that document or who do I call? I live in Houston now.

You will proabably have to request the file to be returned from storage. Then you would have to request a copy of the order and the docket sheet. It may well be that the QDRO was never done. If not it can still be done now, you would probably have to get another family law attorney to work on it.

If you didn't file the QDRO then it wasn't filed. If you'd like me to draft an order and secure your interest in the pension call me directly at 1.619.222.3504 or correspond via e-mail.
