Legal Question in Family Law in California

My question concerns rights of a parent to manage affairs of the children.

I am in the middle of a divorce (separated for 1.5 years) which has become contentious. Our 19 month old is in school. His mother (my estranged wife from whom I am seeking a divorce) has asked the school to take off the names I provided to them as authorized adults to pick up our son in the case that one if us can't. This not only creates an enormous burden but it strikes me as arbitrary and outside her authority. Can anyone tell me my rights here and what I can do to assert my rights.

Thanks.

Who has legal custody of the child? If she does, she has the right to control who is on the list. If you, you do. If joint, you are required to work it out, and if you can't then you must get a court order resolving it. If you don't have an order for custody yet, you need to get one yesterday.
