Question about filing for divorce while incarcerated

My boyfriend recently signed divorce papers and was about to file them when he was arrested last week. Can I take them to the family courthouse and file them for him? He is also filing for a file fee waiver. Will the document examiner require proof of identity to file divorce paperwork?

Re: Question about filing for divorce while incarcerated

You can file the court documents for him. Including the request for a fee waiver. Court papers do not have to be filed by the person who is the party initiating the court action.
