Legal Question in Family Law in California

Quit claim deed signed but can he kick me out

Okay last year my husband and I seperated but not legally and when we did this he made me sign a quick claim deed for our house. We are now back living together for the last year and looking at spliting up again. He has threatened me that I have to leave the home or he will change the locks and throw out my stuff. Can he legally kick me out or do I have a right to be there because we are still legally married?

In a general sense, you can not be ordered out of the house absent domestic violence, and the deed you signed may not be valid depending upon compliance with disclosure obligations and related fiduciary duties of good faith and fair dealings.

For a specific opinion regarding your individual circumstances, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
