Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have been raising my niece who is now 19 for the past 10 years. I never legally adopted her and now would like to or get guardianship so I can put her on my medical insurance; can I do this?

You can not get guardianship since she is no longer a minor, however you can file for an adult adoption. You should contact a family law attorney to assist you in this matter.
