Legal Question in Family Law in California

reading email

my husband says he can file charges against me for reading his email. he gave me the password a while back, and knows i have it still. he has been into new sexual activities lately and is furious ive read his email. can he actually press charges against me because i wanted to know what was going on this time? please advise.

I don't know of any criminal statutes about reading someone's e-mail, but I am not a criminal attorney. It sounds like he gave you permission to view the e-mails by giving you the password. You may wish to resubmit your question and ask it of a criminal attorney rather than a family law attorney. His allegation sounds like a pretty creative way to avoid shifting the blame to you rather than taking responsibilities for his actions.
