getting ready to go through a divorce. Have one biological child. one step child. have not adopted the step child. Do i have to pay child support for step child when i divorce?

You most likely do not have to pay child support for the step-child, but there are some circumstances where step-child support is ordered. Without details I can't say for sure you would not have to pay, but it is not common.
