Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can I re-buy my home

My husband and I are getting divorsed--I have just been granted full custody of the kids-with reasonable visitation(I decide what I feel is reasonable the judge said)child support for my 4 children and spousal support(the only problem is I dont have any documentation on his salary cause I dont know where he works or where to get ahold of him-he didnt show up for court)the judge said I Will have to go with the district attorney's office reguarding the money--2 weeks (before this last court date) I began receiving cash aid and food stamps--Is that my support? also I was granted the court order to sell my home without my husbands signurture(we are joint tenants in common) Could I sell the home to myself and get him off the loan? or how could I go about keeping the house without having him tied to it in any way?

Re: Can I re-buy my home

You can accomplish what you want, however, to tell you how to proceed would take hours and you would still run into problems. Go see an attorney, if you have a house and 4 children, you have enough at stake to invest in properly taking care of your situation. I would suggest that if you had an attorney when you took the judgment, you would have an easier time resolving problems now. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
