Legal Question in Family Law in California

received a call from an attorney's office stating husband is filing a domestic abuse restraining order, and hearing was at 1:30 today. I went, nothing was on the docket. Received another call this evening from an attorney's office that since I didn't appear, it's scheduled for tomorrow morning at 8:30am. They would not provide any additional information. Is this legal? Do I go? am I supposed to receive written notice? What are my rights and responsibilities. I have an appointment with an attorney on Tuesday, but need to know what to do NOW.

You don't provide a zip code. The procedures on this situation are county-specific. No way to help without location.
