Legal Question in Family Law in California
I received temporary orders regarding child custody and visitation. The petitioner was granted the temporary physical custody, and control of the minor child and no visitation pending mediation and respondent must not remove child from state of CA and child's residential county. I have attempted to contact my daughter in this case and the petitioner does not allow any telephone contact and tells me to take it up with the courts, is telephone contact included? How can I have telephone contact with my child if I don't have visitation rights?

Unless the temporary order provided for telephone contact, you have no right to it. You would have to go in and ask for a modification of the temporary order.
