I received word that my husband is leaving and I'm not working. Can I file something to ensure he continues to pay the rent?

You can file a Petition for Dissolution or a Petition for Legal Separation. On that case you will need to file a request for support, spousal and/or child support. You generally would get tan order for support and you would pay rent from the support order that you received. It can take several weeks to get a hearing and therefore you should proceed quickly.
