Legal Question in Family Law in California

Recently, I went through my divorce and I also have a child from my ex-husband, but now he is not signing the legal paper to apply for the passport for our child as he is saying that I might go away with the child. However, I have no intensions of that but I have no ways to prove him that too..

Is this legal that one parent refuse to sign to apply for the legal document for the child.. ? or Is there a way I can legally ask him to sign the papers so that I can apply for my child passport?

You can ask the divorce court to order the passport issued, if you have good cause for such an order.
