Legal Question in Family Law in California
I just recently got a new job. I will be working days now instead of evening/nights and need to change our visual visitation, once a week dinner to a different time. I have a feeling that my ex is going to put up a big stink about me not following child custody order. Plus hes going to have to pay for half of preschool cost now too!! Am I going to be in a lot of trouble with the Judge because I can no longer follow the original order due to a job change?

Because of the change in circumstances of the family system and the children, the court always expects that there might be a change in court orders. What you should do is file a request for order and return to modify the parenting plan. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your options.
I agree with Ms. Kock completely. The court is not mad that situations change. They only get mad if you try to force changes without involving the court and getting a modified order. The court is more than happy to either enter a modification the parties agree on, or decide what the modification should be if the parties can't agree, when circumstances make the original order not work anymore.
