Legal Question in Family Law in California

I recently signed a Marital Settlement Agreement with my former spouse. One of its provisions was that the spouse would sign over the title to a vehicle, and forward it to me thru his attorney. I have spoken with his attorney, who says that he has been unable to contact my former spouse (I had representation when the agreement was signed, my attorney has since withdrawn). I filed a request for a comtempt citation thru Riverside County family court, but that request was denied. I'd like your suggestions for obtaining this document. In addition, I have never received a final copy of my divorce decree. How can this best be obtained? Thank you.

You don't provide enough procedural information to give you a good answer. For documents that are in the court's file, you would just go down to the clerk's office in the courthouse where the case is pending and ask for copies from the file. If you only just recently signed an MSA, though, it's unclear what would be in the file and what would not. I can tell you that if the MSA has not been made part of the final judgment or an interlocutory order, then that was why the OSC re: Contempt was denied, because there's no court order to be in contempt of.
