Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was recently thrown out of the house by my abusive ex-fiance. We have a domestic partnership filed in the state of California. We have been legal domestic partners for the past year. I have been trying to get a job the entire time that we were together. I have also been in graduate school. Am I entitled to any spousal support from him until I get my life together?

Not likely. One year of domestic partnership would entitle you to a max of six months support if any. Most likely it would be zero. Spousal support is intended for spouses or domestic partners who have relied on the other person's income for an extended period of time and need time to get back into the labor market and/or resume their careers to become self supporting.
