Legal Question in Family Law in California

How to reduce child support?

My boyfriend is paying child support for 2 kids. He drives for the metro rail but they are taking a great deal of money out of his paycheck. It is to the point that he is on the verge of homelessness. Is there anything he can do to pay his child support and be able to live? I know he is in the rear, he has to go to court because they have threaten to suspend his license.

Re: How to reduce child support?

Probably. Your boyfriend needs to have a "Dissomaster" program run to determine how much child support he should be paying each month. Note that a very good lawyer can find creative ways to reduce child support, i.e., hardship expenses, castrophic losses, work related expenses, etc. If your boyfriend contacts my office I would be glad to give him a free dissomaster analysis.
