Reducing child support

I've been paying child support for 1 child since 1992.That year I married a woman with 3 children and California refused to lower the payments.We have 4 children of our own.This makes a total of seven children.Is there any way I can get the payments reduced?

Re: Reducing child support

Since you are not legally responsible for supporting your step children, those kids "don't count." However, since you are legally responsible for supporting your own children, those kids "do count." Therfore, you can ask to have your support payments reduced.
