Legal Question in Family Law in California

Reduction in Visitation

My 11yr old daughter has requested to reduce the time she spends with her father during summer vacation. She is not allowed telephone access to me during the 3 month time, I speak to her maybe 3 times during her stay there. She is not allowed to play with other children in the neighborhood and has concerns about his drinking. I have received calls from her councelors at school that she is crying all day and that she is afraid that he will make trouble for me if we take this issue to court and that could happen. Her grades have dropped and is depressed. I have put her in counceling to deal with these problems. Her life here is full with friends, soccer and church. We have not modified the order since we moved here in 2000, the case was a DV case in California. I'm trying to represent myself and have seen a lawyer but cannot afford his fees but I need to modify this order and read case law similar to my issue. Can you tell me if there are any similar cases in NV that I can read about to help me with my case. I have used the self help center but cannot find anything. Any guidance would be great. Thanks
