Release of parental rights

If I'm married and the mother of my child is married and she wants me to have nothing to do with our child and I want to give up parental rights, what do I have to do?

Re: Release of parental rights

Although you may relinquish your parental rights, that does not mean that you also are relieved of your responsibility to support the child, so be very careful. The only way to be relieved of the responsibility is for the child to be adopted, presumably by the mother's husband. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
