I have sole, physical legal custody of my 8 year old son. His father has visitation 2 xs per month of Saturdays for 8 hours. He is currently incarcerated and has been for since February 2010. He is scheduled to be released February 2011. I want to know if I can move out of state to NC I have Family and a new job opportunity. Do I have to file an OSC to move? What type of documentation do I need? If any from my new Perspective employer. please let me know Thanks Betty

You do need to file a move away motion. You can try to do it yourself, but I don't recommend it. If you want to do it pro per, you should start by contacting the Family Law Facilitator at your county's Family Court.
