To respond to a order to show cause, you need to prepare a FL-320 and check whether you agree or disagree with the orders requested. If you do not agree, then you should state what orders you request instead. You should state facts in the declaration which support your position and why it would be in the courts interest to side with you. You should probably consult with the local self help attorneys in the court house to help you prepare a response. Additionally you will have to argue your case when you come to court.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
