Legal Question in Family Law in California

Reportable income

I am the custodial father. Mother has visitation and pays support. I filed a motion to increase support due to her finally becoming employed. I also have a son from a prior marriage, she deceased in 1987, and I collect SSI survivor benefits. Her and her attorney stated that I falsified the income and expense statement by not including both the SSI and the child support I receive from her. Is this required to report?

Re: Reportable income

On your Income and Expense declaration you are requited to report all income which you did not do. However, simply file an amended I & E. You are not likely to be too severly dealt with for an honest mistake.
