Legal Question in Family Law in California

how to request visitation with temporary orders

I am travelling with my family and will be in CA for 1 day. I want my family to meet my child for the first time, however, I only have temporary orders which allow for visitation for only a few hours. Since the circumstances are rather unique, that is, my entire family will be in CA, can I request that I receive visitation for an entire day (say 8-10hrs) even though my temporary orders allow for much less? How would I accomplish this?

Although Mr. Koury is correct about obtaining a modification of the order, you may want to discuss the issue with the custodial parent. If that does not work then go for the court order.
