Legal Question in Family Law in California

I requested a TRO during the course of my divorce. The judge scheduled court-ordered mediation to be followed by a hearing. My mother has come to stay with us until a settlement is reached. Also, after our first court appearance we agreed on some ground rules for co-tenancy which was signed off on by the judge. My question - is it in my best interest to pursue the restraining order? Due to the current situation, I no longer feel that it's necessary and don't want to do anything that might potentially threaten his livelihood. My lawyer is advising me to move forward with the RO request because it will hurt my case if I don't. Any advice would be appreciated.

I agree with your lawyer. I have a client right now who dropped a RO proceeding and her ex is now up to his old tricks, but she is getting the "boy who cried wolf" treatment because she dropped the first one.
