Legal Question in Family Law in California

Rescinding Parental Rights

We are going thru a custody case presently for 2 children (my own).I am willing to rescind rights for 1 child in exchange for my ex wife giving up rights to the other child. I am also doing a paternity test to verify whether the child to be released is actually mine.

Can rescinding rights and responsibilites be performed during the custody hearing?

Re: Rescinding Parental Rights

you can recind your rights but the responsibilites remain unless someone else legally adopts the child.
