Can a person move into a different county, and in 1 month file a domestic violance case. Or should this person go to the previous county to file.

There are no residency requirement for a domestic violence petition. However, it may be to your advantage to file the petition in the county in which the abuser lives, as it will be more convenient for the witnesses. Contact an attorney and discuss this matter. There may also be a domestic violence help center available to assist you.
