Legal Question in Family Law in California

Resolution or finalized

How do I find out if the divorce after being finalized, had been petitioned and instatuted for resolution? I have original case #'s and finalized signatures, but this was from 2/20/1990.

Re: Resolution or finalized

Check the local court file. Since you have the number that should be easy. Court files are public documents and are available to anyone who wishes to look at them.

You can check the file in the courthouse - or - depending upon the county the case was filed in, you may be able to access the information through the county superior court web site.

Good luck to you!
