Legal Question in Family Law in California

Respond or Default

Since I agree with everything that is on the papers my husband filed, we have no children, and own no property, I would like to know if it is better for me to respond or go into default so that he can deal with the paperwork? I need to go away from him and get a job and I don't have time to deal with the divorce, any advice on how to proceed?

Re: Respond or Default

Its a personal choice to make. If you go into default then you have no say regarding what the petitioner asks for, her entire request should be in the petition.

As always please consult an attorney in your area before you take action.

Good luck.
