Responding to divorce petition

I have thrown away my divorce petiton in anger, and now I don't have the information I need to respond to the petition. I don't even now the lawyer and my ex will not communicate with me. Help.

You can probably get your case number from your local courthouse. DO NOT

DELAY. You can cause a lot of problems for yourself if you miss the Response

deadline. Seek legal counsel. Good luck.

If you know the county in which the petition was filed you can go to the courthouse and get an other copy of the petition. They do a search by your name. They will charge you for copies.
