Legal Question in Family Law in California
Responsibility for pick up and drop off of child.
I moved away from the area that my ex-wife and daughter live (approx 1 hour. The issue has come up with my exwife as to who the responsibilty lies with. I believe that even though I was the one to move away from the area that the responsibilty for the pick up and drop off is mutual. Can you please shed some light, is this just my responsibilty or is this something that she should be doing as well.

The answer to that question lied in the descretion of the judge. Generally, my experience is that if you move, you transport. A judge will probably ask why it would be fair for her to travel if you are the one who moved? Getting a better job is not a good excuse, being tranferred as required by your job might be.
