Legal Question in Family Law in California

Could I be responsible for soon to be husbands child support

I am engaged to be married next summer, in preperation, I am trying to get all of our finances in order. I am the sole wage earner in our household. I make enough that my fiance can stay home with our child. I know that the courts and c/s agncies are big on ''getting'' deadbeat parents so I want to know if I would ever have to pay his C/S, if he never works again. His kids live in another state I don't know if that matters
