Legal Question in Family Law in California

Restraining order

An ex boyfriend has threatened me with a restraining order. We have been apart for one month, and I have called a few times and a few e-mails and approached him in person only once since we split up. I was trying to get him to listen to me, but he responds only with anger. in my view he has completely over reacted, though obviously he doesn't see it this way. Does he have grounds for this? What are my options if he does? I do not want this as part of my public record. I'm an upstanding, law abiding professional person.

It's hard to convey all the facts in this small space, but I believe I have presented to you a good synopsis.

Re: Restraining order

As a rule if someone does not want to have any contact with you you must leave him alone and if you do not he can get a court order to stop you from contacting him.
