Restraining order

Can a person you filed a retraining order against file a restraining order against you? And if they try what do you do.

Restraining orders have serious consequences and should be opposed. You would have to go to court and oppose the request for the restraining order by presenting evidence that convinces the court that the request for a restraining order should not be granted.

Yes, or they can ask that the restraining order be mututal. What you can do is what they had to do; show up at the hearing and give the judge any reasons why it should not be granted.

Now, if you have a restraining order against them, why do you care if they get one against you?
