Legal Question in Family Law in California

Is it possible to get a restraining order to protect property (an asset, such as a sandrail) during the Legal Seperation process. Can I prevent him from using, selling or altering it until our case is final? What forms would I fill out and file with the court?

The family law summons includes a set of automatic restraining orders that are binding on the petitioner as soon is it is issued, and on the respondent as soon as they are served. It includes a restraining order against selling, borrowing against, giving away or disposing of any real or personal property except in the usual course of business or for the necessities of life. If you think you need more specific protections for the asset than that, you can go and ask for a property restraint order as well, specifying in more detail what can and cannot be done with it.
