Legal Question in Family Law in California

how do i get a restraining order retried in court?

i went to court april 9th for a domestic violence restraining order against my x-girlfriend.

she also had one done on me also.

the judge signed both orders for us both to stay away for each other. he rushed us through the procedure and i did not get a chance to fight against the order she had on me. i agreed on both orders and did not realize what i had done till it was too late and i wanted to fight the one she had against me.

i guess my main question would be can this be brought before a judge again?

please help, i am desperately trying to be an officer ai am currently enrolled in a police academy and this is going to ruin my chances of being an officer also to do my dream job.

Your difficulty is not quite as great as unringing a bell, but you in for a difficult fight. You better get an attorney so you don't make any additional mistakes and so that you will know the proper grounds to set aside the order. Also, points and authorities will probably need to be filed (an outline of the law and arguments to set aside the order) Good Luck, Pat McCrary
