restraining order

i was served with a temporary restraining order and must appear in court. what should i take to court.

Any evidence which would counter the allegations. Find an attorney before the permanent hearing. If you were notified after 10am the day before the hearing, object to the lack of adequate notice and request a one day continuance so you can seek representation. Keep in mind that temporary restraining orders are handed out liberally (any admission that the allegations are true, however qualified will definately seal the deal), however the permanent hearing is a different animal.

An attorney and any witnesses or documents that you need to prove your case with the judge. Restraining orders may result in a federal record. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
