Legal Question in Family Law in California

Restraining order violation (?)

Thank you in advance for help with my question regarding a sad family situation.

Family member ''A'' has filed a restraining order (using false information) that went through against family member ''B''. ''A'' is a nephew by marriage to ''B''. ''B'' has been invited to his grandfathers birthday by his grandmother to their home. ''A'' and his wife have made arrangements to be there also. They called the grandmother and wanted to know details etc... so they could come over. They have never attended a function for the grandfather ever before, they just know ''B'' will be there and are under the impression that if they show up then he MUST leave.

Please advise as to what is true in this situation. Could ''B'' actually be in violation of a restraining order in this case? These people also moved only two blocks away from ''B'' from an entirely different town, mind you, after this restraining order was filed. They also honk at ''B'' whenever they drive by. It is ridiculous.

Re: Restraining order violation (?)

Family member B needs to consult an attorney regarding the restraining order and its conditions. Just driving down the road in front of A's house may be a violation of the restraining order. An attorney after reviewing the declarations and the restraining order can advise B of the options available. Retaining an attorney now may well be cheaper than defending a charge of violating a restraining order, and the lost work etc that results from being incarcerated.
