restraining order

my x-boyfriend filed a restraining order against me what should i do? i havent recived court papers should i go to the courthouse and find out what this is all about?

Re: restraining order

Consult with an attorney. Until you are served the restraining order does not apply to you. However, if you go to court and review the restraining order you then become aware of the restraining order and could be found to be bound by the restraining order.
