Legal Question in Family Law in California

restraining orders

Im not sure if this is family law or not but Im pregnant and my boyfried threatned me and I filled a restraining order and the judge did not grant it but set it for a court date. What does this mean?

It means that the judge does not believe that there were sufficient grounds for a temporary restraining order pending a trial.
