Retraction of Police Report

I need to know how to file a police report retraction. Do I send a statement to the D.A. certified mail, or can I call him on the phone stating that the report given was false.

Filing a false police report is a crime. Before you do anything you should consult with an attorney regarding the facts of your case. If you reported an incident of domestic violence it is almost guranteed that the police or da will not believe your retraction.
