Legal Question in Family Law in California

No return of calls/Multiple attorneys

I have two questions:

1) Opposing counsel does not return calls from my attorney in a timely manner. It is usually a week or more. This costs me money as my attorney charges for the calls and usually has to fax to opposing counsel several times in order to get a response. This doesn't seem right. Anything I can do?

2) We had a mediation meeting scheduled in court. The meeting was to be between the attorneys however, my "ex" and I had to also be present to discuss the issues at hand. When we arrived, opposing counsel had two other attorneys with him from another county to help him! My attorney had no knowledge of this ahead of time and was completely bombarded since it was a three against one. No paper work has ever been filed to date that my "ex" has several other co-counsels. Is this legal?

Your ex is entitled to as many attorney's as he wants.

There seems to be no wrongdoing occuring, just alot

nerve racking delay tactics.

Phone calls: Quit making calls and set it for trial. the atty will be calling then.

Multiple attys: Your attorney should have demanded that one attorney be selected to rep your husband.

Your atty needs to be stronger.

On the other hand, I wonder if you are confused and the other two attorneys were there as settlement judges.
