Legal Question in Family Law in California

How do I go about reversing an adoption? A little bit of info behind it: I am 36 and was adopted at a young age by my step-father that is now deceased. When my step father divorced my mom, he no longer had contact w/ me. My biological father and mother rekindled their relationship and got married when I was 8. He is very much in my life and my kids. My biological father is concerned that since I am his only blood child, there is no real next of kin. Not to mention, I would love to get this reversed for us for sentimental reasons.

I'm not sure but I think the proceedure is to have him do an adult adoption of you. With the first adoptive father deceased it should be a pretty straight forward process.
