Legal Question in Family Law in California

romeo+juliet

a 14 year old girl and i (21) became interested in each other and proceded to go out, we have not had sex and are considering marrage when she turned 16. I will have a excilent job with the armed forces and will be able to take care of her needs, but unfortionally she went to court today and her father (from what i understan doesnt have coustidy of her) mentiond the fact that we were going out in a case that had nothing to do with us just her previous actions. and it was ruled that she could not have contact with me or see me till shes 18.

I love her very much and she love me the same if not more. please help with any info so i can be with her again and be happy again

Sincerly,

R.W.R.J.

Re: romeo+juliet

If you really love her you can wait until she is 18 years old. A 14 year old has no capacity to make such important decisions and you should respect her enough to wait until she is old enough, by law, to make those decisions. Pat McCrary
