Legal Question in Family Law in California

run around

I have visitation rights on even number days from 6pm friday to 6pm sunday. I must give my ex-wife a 24 hour notice. My son is 12 years old. I had the local police escort me to my ex-wifes place. I was unable to take my son for the weekend because he told the officer he didn't want to go with me. So the officer told me that no violation was commited. I have been told that the local police did not enforce the court order and that my son has no say if he wants to go or not because he is still a minor. The police also said that they can't force my son to go with me. What can I do. My ex-wife opened a case for modifation for more support and now they claim that I am behind in support payments. I have sent proof that I have never been behind and now they are trying to suspend my license ruin my credit and have even taken my income tax for this year. What is a father to do when he follows the rules and still gets screwed by the system. It seems that the police, courts and lawyers have a different meaning of how the law works for visitation. Do I have to go back to court to make my court order more detail so that all three can understand what it means...........or what!!!!

Re: run around

Perhaps you do need to return to court for a clearer order and to tell your enforcement problems to the judge.
