Can I send a legal document request for ex wife to remove my last name?

We divorced 20 years ago. She kept my name in order to receive welfare payments, my son is 22 years old now, she lives with a boyfriend and has a young daughter from another man and ofcourse receives welfare for her.

I am remarrying and I'd like SOMETHING sent to her as a formal request for a removing my name, especially since she's just inappropriate since finding of my marriage. There is definitely a reason for this! :) thanks!
