Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have been separated since 1997. I attempted to file once in CA but it didn't go through. I did file in Nev in 2004. Now I want to file again in CA and he agrees to sign. I don't want to wait 6 months for it to be final. Will I have to even though I have filed before and we have not been together in over 10 years?

I'm not sure what you mean by "it didn't go through." If you are divorced, you don't have to get divorced again. What is the status of the two earlier filings?

Mr. Roach is correct. You need to sort out the status of the two prior filings. You need to make an appointment with an attorney. This is not a BBS question.
