Legal Question in Family Law in California

we separated two weeks ago I learned of new debt. He lives with his ex wife and they planned to get remarried. How can I make sure that he doesn't get spousal support, retirement money non of my property so on and so forth. Also there is a prenuptial in place. Where do I start, he plans to re marry her and she has agreed pay for the divorce. How long do I wait? I certainly don't want to pay for it.

If your ex plans on remarrying soon, then your obligation for spousal support by operation of law stops upon remarriage. If he is cohabiting with someone he is romantically involved with, then you can raise the presumption that his need for spousal support is drastically reduced or negated.

Community property and retirement earned during the marriage is divided equally under the law unless the parties stipulate to another division arrangement.
